Fort Union National Monument Wagons and Wall (click to enlarge)

Another image from Fort Union National Monument.  The center courtyard of this set of adobe walls has several old wagons and wheels spread around the grounds.  I suspect that the rangers move these every now and then as this composition does not match the layout in the October 2016 GoogleEarth image.  

I actually got lucky while visiting Fort Union in that I had clouds in the sky.  Actually, almost all of my images from this New Mexico Road trip include some clouds, except those taken in the caverns and at night.  This is unusual in that I seem to get stuck with clear blue skies or solid overcast grey skies.  To see what I mean, click here to see blog posts from Nova Scotia.
