Bolt Wall

One last image from Fort Union National Monument (but I have soooo many more).  This is a bolt protruding from one of the adobe wall foundations.  I have no idea why it is there, but it is pretty large.

Should you tire of working the adobe walls and chimneys, there are lots of close up detail images available like this one.

While almost in the middle of nowhere, Fort Union is worth a day trip if you happen to be in the Albuquerque area.  While I did not stop there, I have heard from others that Las Vegas NM is a good stop also.
