Here is the Balmoral Grist Mill in Denmark, Nova Scotia. Because of the weather and the spots on the pond, this is not a particularly well done reflection composition. I post it just to let people know that this is a great place to visit on your Nova Scotia tour.
The people working in the mill are very personable and knowledgeable about the mill and the surrounding area. We spent quite a bit of time talking with them while touring the inside of the mill. It is a working mill with lots of interesting detail compositions for the photographer.
The original image had one big flaw where the treeline meets the water on the left side of the image. In the original image there is a big dark spot created by the overhanging branches. Out of curiosity, I used Photoshop’s Content-Aware patch tool to fill in the shadow. I was afraid the dark spot was too large, with not much detail below the area to get a good fill. No worries, Content-Aware had no issues filling in the dark spot. While filling the dark spot did not save this image because of the the weather and spots on the pond, it did remove a major dark area that kept pulling the viewers eye.
