Strange Birds On The Rocky Island

Nikon Z6 II, 1/200 sec, f/9.0, 500mm, ISO 400

Here is a pair of puffins on Puffins Island near Elliston Newfoundland. Be advised that the viewing area is pretty far away, so binoculars and a long lens are required to really see the puffins. As a matter of fact, I brought along my 200-500mm lens just for this location. It is the only time during the four-week roadtrip that I actually used it.

Then again, you might get lucky and have a puffin land in the viewing area. If that happens, be prepared for a scrum of photographers jostling for position.
