Bloody Day At The Ocotillo Cactus Patch

Nikon D810, 1/30 sec, f/11, 50mm, ISO 200
This is a patch of ocotillo cacti near the road on Joshua Tree National Park. I spent a few minutes here while driving from Twentynine Palms to the Salton Sea area. Be very careful around the cacti, those barbs are sharp and they seem to jump out at you. I ran into a Japanese couple, one of which had several needles in her hand. I happened to have a first aide kit with tweezers (do you?) and was able to pull them out.
