Nightmare Vent in the Lunatic Asylum

This vent is on one of the outbuilding walls at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. I am not sure what it is a vent to, as it appears to be boarded over and you cannot see where it is supposed to go. There are many such headends in this building.
