There is one reason for the average tourist to visit the town of Conche, Newfoundland, and that is the French Shore Interpretive Center<\/a>. Located within the center is the French Shore Tapestry<\/a>. Just slightly shorter than the famous Bayeau Tapestry<\/a> (227 feet versus 230 feet) it is every bit as impressive. Even better, you can talk to the women that did the embroidery!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, photography is not allowed, but rest assured, the trip to this far corner of Newfoundland is well worth the effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
