This ornamental sash is part of a collection at Iolani Palace<\/a>. There is just a bit of blur in the image. Part of it is from the wide aperture<\/a> which reduces depth of field, and some is from the low shutter speed relative to the focal length<\/a>. The sash had a few runs and stains which Photoshop’s Remove Tool<\/a> easily fixed. Too bad museum curators don’t have something as easy as the Remove Tool to aid in their efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first thing I thought of when I saw the sash collection was the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz. “What<\/a> makes a King out of a slave? Courage<\/em>…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
