When converted to black and white, the red items turned grey and ceased to be of interest in the image.  So I converted the image to black and white, then used a <a href=\"https:\/\/helpx.adobe.com\/photoshop\/using\/masking-layers.html\" title=\"\">layer mask<\/a> to keep the red items red.
