Here is a barn at\u00a0Baile nan G\u00e0idheal (aka\u00a0Highland Village<\/a>)\u00a0in Iona,\u00a0Nova Scotia. \u00a0Like Sherbrooke Village,\u00a0Highland Village\u00a0is\u00a0a living history museum. \u00a0The site celebrates the Gaelic experience in Nova Scotia from the mid\u00a01700’s to the early 1900’s. \u00a0I have ancestors that immigrated from Nova Scotia to Boston, so visiting Highland Village was part of exploring my roots.<\/p>\n

We stopped here after spending a few hours in Baddeck while driving back to Sydney. \u00a0While much smaller than Sherbrooke Village, Highland Village is well worth a few hours if you are visiting the area.<\/p>\n
