This image of Peggy’s Point lighthouse is an example of “you shoot under the conditions you have”.<\/p>\n

Peggy’s Cove is located along the scenic route from Lunenburg to Halifax. \u00a0The lighthouse there is one of the<\/em> iconic Nova Scotia photography locations. \u00a0I planned to spend several hours there before heading to Halifax.<\/p>\n

As you can see, it was nothing but gray skies while we were there. \u00a0I tried to brighten this image in post-processing, but it did not\u00a0take much movement of the Brightness slider before the lighthouse blended into the gray skies.<\/p>\n

This would have been a great mirror composition with the addition of blue skies and puffy white clouds. \u00a0Alas, that was not to be during our stop. \u00a0I ended up with a bland image with no time in our itinerary for another attempt.<\/p>\n

Be warned, tour buses start showing up in the parking lot around 0900. \u00a0If you want people free images, get there early!<\/p>\n
