Light Painted Palms, Joshua Tree National Park (click to enlarge)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I spent some time for work in the Southern California area. \u00a0Having a day off, I went to Joshua Tree National Park. \u00a0After a full day of hiking and photography I started out the long road to civilization (aka the town of Joshua Tree). \u00a0I saw some color in the sky\u00a0so I pulled over to take some sunset images. \u00a0I found my flashlight as I was digging through my bag for a snack, so I decided to do a little light painting. \u00a0The only subject to paint was the palm tree (is it a palm tree?) in the foreground. \u00a0I took several images while waving my flashlight around and this was the best of the lot. \u00a0Next trip I will leave time in my schedule for a more serious attempt at light painting.<\/p>\n

If you get to Joshua Tree (the town, not the park) stop by\u00a0Pie for the People!<\/em> and get yourself some awesome pizza. \u00a0They do not serve alcohol, but you are allowed to bring in your own beer and wine. \u00a0Luckily, there is a liquor store right across the street!<\/p>\n
