This ornamental sash is part of a collection at Iolani Palace. There is just a bit of blur in the image. Part of it is from the wide aperture which reduces depth of field, and some is from the low shutter speed relative to the focal length. The sash had a few runs and stains which Photoshop’s Remove Tool easily fixed. Too bad museum curators don’t have something as easy as the Remove Tool to aid in their efforts.
The first thing I thought of when I saw the sash collection was the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz. “What makes a King out of a slave? Courage…”

This seat and sheet music sit in the music room at Iolani Palace. Interestingly, I tried to remove the prominent edge of the plexiglass holder at the bottom of the sheet music. For some reason, Photoshop’s Remove Tool was unable to remove the edge. This is the first time, and I use the tool a lot, that the Remove Tool was unable to clean up an image to an acceptable level.

There are several cupboards filled with housewares in the bottom floor of Iolani Palace. I decided not to try and get all of the glasses in focus, either by increasing the aperture or focus stacking. After trying those, I decided to leave the image with a single glass in focus.
