This is the view from our train looking down the Mt. Washington Cog Railway.  This is on the descent back to the railway station.

Look at the yellow train on the left.  You can see the train conductor.  Passengers can take turns looking through that window behind the conductor and take excellent images when the conductor isn’t blocking the window.  This is especially nice during the descent.

Here is a train starting its journey up the Mt. Washington Cog Railway.  The cog railway is a great alternative to walking or driving up Mt. Washington.  During the ride, conductors let passengers alternate looking out the front window of the passenger car.  This provides excellent views of the surrounding mountains.

One word of caution.  No matter how hot it might be at the railway station, pack warm clothes!  We went in July and it was pretty hot at the station.  By the time the train arrived at the top of Mt. Washington, the wind was howling, it was foggy, rainy and cold!
