Took a field trip with the Northern Virginia Photographic Society to the “Truck Graveyard” in Columbia VA.  The truck graveyard is a collection of old trucks on the grounds of P L Duncan Trucking Inc.

The map below shows the layout of the truck graveyard.

Area 1 consists of two barn like structures.  This is the first area you should visit.  Each structure is stuffed full of trucks.  One contains several old firetrucks.  Scattered around the structures are many other trucks.  Trucks inside the structures are packed tightly together.  It is hard to get a clean shot of a truck, lots of close up opportunities.  Good individual truck shots on the vehicles scattered around the structures.

Area 2 has mostly bigger, newer trucks.  This should probably be the last area you visit.

Area 3 is a line of trucks.  Good area for detail shots and a picture looking down the row of trucks.

Area 4 consists of several lines of trucks.  Lots of detail pictures, individual truck shots, and shooting down the row of trucks.
